TruCytes™ Cell Mimics as Reliable Controls for Consistent Immunophenotyping in Flow Cytometry

The use of polymer-based cell mimics as flow cytometry assay controls addresses the inherent variability of traditional peripheral blood mononu-clear cell (PBMC) controls. In this study, we present TruCytes™ cell mimics that are engineered to mimic T, B, and NK cells, and offer consistent lot-to-lot reproducibility and extended stability compared to lyophilized and cryopreserved PBMC controls from various donors. The results demonstrate that these cell mimics can serve as robust quality control tools for immunophenotyping, to standardize and accelerate drug and diagnostic development, validation, and manufacturing.
